I-Beam steel buildings are one of the most common types of steel buildings that you may see in construction today. These steel buildings are named for the shape of the steel beams used to construct them. The frame of these steel buildings is usually made up of four different truss sections: two trusses comprise the sections for walls and two sections are used for the roof. These trusses are generally assembled while they are lying on the ground and are then put up once they are put together. One of the advantages of I-Beam buildings is that they can be found very easily. Since they are a common building structure, many of the necessary materials are manufactured on a regular basis. One of the disadvantages of I-Beam steel buildings is that they are fairly difficult to customize if the structure being built has many types of angles or needs wings of any sort. The ways in which the trusses are constructed pretty much limits the building to having the shape of one big square or rectangle. A common example would be airplane hangers that you may see at the airport; if you notice they are just big long rectangles. As long as you are aware of the limitations regarding the final shape of the structure, steel buildings will provide you with everything you could need.
Before entering into the construction phase of steel buildings, you need to understand the zoning restrictions where you want to build. Sometimes the area needs to be zoned as commercial or industrial to legally accommodate these types of structures.
