The cost issue also factors in for batteries and kits that may be needed to replace the initial device, as they are disposable in the same sort of regard as nicotine patches. They may not be gone through at the pace of a paper cigarette smoker would go through his or her pack, but they will last much longer than a regular cigarette and will cost less over time than normal smoking.
The choice to smoke will always be up to the user, but there can be some peace between those who choose to smoke and those who do not, if they at least agree to use water vapor cigarettes that will not cause as much pollution of the air non-smokers breathe.
