In Canada Circut City has 765 retail stores and the demands of the products offered by the company is also high in Canada.
The company offers a number of products but the two major achievements of the company are mentioned here. One major achievement of the company is the development and launch of DIVX in 1997 as a competitor to DVD. The company has also launched firedog brand that provides home theater installation services to the customers, therefore, the company has quickly responded to the increasing scope of service sector. The company has built a good name in a short span of time because of the attractive services which it offers to the customers.
The company has also given a great focus on quality management therefore, the company introduced Six Sigma program in the year 2001. Circut city has always participated actively in the community programs. Circut City has always contributed for the charitable causes, and organized events like softball games, bake sales and car washes .
In partnership with BGCA; the company also introduced Boys & Girls Club of America in 2001. Another partner of Circut City is Habitat for Humanity and they contributed in the construction of various houses and made charitable contribution to the Richmond. Moreover, the company has also made enough contributions American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
Hence, Corporate Social Responsibility is one of the major focus area of the company.
Circut City has always taken initiatives to show its creative and innovative ideas. After the supply chain management improvements, the company is able to react to the customers demand in a timely manner. Moreover, the company introduced six sigma programs in 2001 as mentioned earlier which has also increased the operational performance of the company.
Hence, Circut City has attained its desirable goals only through innovative and effective strategies.
